Who Is Jason Ferruggia
Jason Feruggia is a world-renowned muscle building and fitness expert, believe it or not, Jason Ferruggia grew up as a skinny kid.
From an early age, Jason Ferruggia found himself often being made fun of because of his small size. He was bullied constantly, picked on during gym class, and failed to retain any form of female companionship because of his size.
Wanting to improve his physique, Ferruggia started working out while in middle school following the advice of his cousin’s steroid-using boyfriend who happened to be a pro-wrestler.
He also consulted several bodybuilders during his journey to muscle mass. Ferruggia put hour after hour in at the gym. He lifted for two hours at a time, six days a week. He maintained this excruciating routine for five years to no avail. By the time he graduated from high school Ferruggia was six feet tall and only weighed 147 lbs.
Embarrassed by his body and small frame, the teenager reduced himself to wearing a shirt at all times, even when at the pool or beach. He often hid his physique under baggy clothing and numerous layers as he continued his mission to gain more muscle.
Next came college, Ferruggia experimented with several training programs including German Volume, Super Slow, and Powerfactor Training. As an undergraduate, Ferruggia decided to study exercise science in hopes of finding a way to build muscle fast and retain it for years to come.
Ferruggia traveled the country attending training seminars and earning personal training certificates. He worked as an intern with some of the most popular strength trainers and coaches. Despite all of his motivation, Ferruggia remained weak and skinny.
What Ferruggia failed to realize at the time was he had poor genetics when it came to muscle building and weight gain. The aspiring bodybuilder was simply a “hard gainer.”
He believed that what benefited others, would equally benefit him. Instead, this was not the case. He also came to the realization that unless he supplemented his regimen with steroids, he was going to get nowhere fast.
Determined to find a solution that worked for him, Ferruggia devoured any and all information he could find regarding muscle strength building. He read more than 300 books and spent months searching for answers that would work for him. Then one day he was met with success.
Ferruggia discovered a muscle building technique he had never heard of. He quickly put his findings to work and within one month, he went from 155 lbs to 177 lbs. Many of his friends believed he was on steroids, but this was not the case.
Ferruggia had finally found what he was looking for, a safe and natural way to obtain muscle mass for his tiny body.
While his victory was sweet, Ferruggia still had some doubts. He put his methods to the test, using his friends as lab rats. They too experienced similar results. Not long after, Ferruggia opened a private training facility situated in New Jersey.
News of his new system spread fast and his business exploded beyond his wildest dreams. After years of over training, long days and endless weeks, Ferruggia had arrived.
Today, Ferruggia is the Men’s Fitness magazine’s chief training adviser. He weighs 231 obs and is drug free. Ferruggia also writes a monthly column, “The Hard-Gainer,” and has written more than 500 articles for various Web sites and publications.
His work has been seen in Maximum Fitness, Men’s Health, Today’s Man, Shape, Muscle and Fitness, and MMA SportsMag.
Ferruggia also wrote four controversial fitness-training guides that have sold in approximately 120 different counties. He has worked as a media consultant and lecuture, conducting seminars across the United States.
He has been featured on more than 30 television and radio stations including America Tonight, 1010 Wins: New York, FOX, CBS, NBC, and CBS.
In all, Ferruggia has conducted extensive research on fitness and bodybuilding techniques for 15 years. He is one of the world’s most renowned fitness experts.

Mistake 1 – Training Like a Bodybuilder
Most professional bodybuilders subject themselves to thousands of dollars in drubs each year to gain their muscle mass.
